Configure Single Sign-On (SSO)

Summary

Overview

The Single Sign-On (SSO) capability allows your organization to centralize and streamline user authentication. By integrating your corporate identity provider (IdP) with Akeneo SDM, users can access the SDM platform using their existing credentials, improving security and simplifying login processes.

How can I activate SSO for my SDM organization?

SSO activation is available on-demand; you can contact your CSM to enable it. The process is pretty straightforward, with a step-by-step guide that will allow your IT team to set up SSO on SDM in an autonomous & smooth way.

SSO is optional

Clients are not required to implement SSO. They can continue using login and password credentials if that aligns better with their needs.

FAQ

Which identity providers are supported?

Here is a non-exhaustive list of supported providers:

  • SAML 2.0: Compatible with providers like Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity, and more.
  • OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol: Supported by Google Workspace, Auth0, and others.
  • Custom IdPs: Custom configurations can also be supported based on your organization’s needs

Can I use my existing Akeneo SSO setup to log in to SDM?

Currently, the SSO capability for SDM is separate from Akeneo PIM’s SSO. If your company has already activated SSO for Akeneo PIM, you will still need to configure a separate SSO setup for SDM.

Will I still be able to use login and password once SSO is configured?

The traditional login method will be available for those who prefer or need it.

What happens if my organization uses multiple IdPs?

We only support one Identify Provider right now. Please contact your CSM if you need more than one IdP.
