The product details page is what end users see when they click on a product in the Digital Showroom gallery. In the Product details tab of your portfolio, you can configure which attributes are featured prominently, set the product labels, and control how variants are presented.

The screenshot above shows the Product details configuration tab in Digital Showroom, with the Product label and Model label attribute selectors, the Variant display mode selector, and the Featured attributes panel below.
Before you start
- You must have admin access to Digital Showroom.
- The portfolio must already be created. See Create a portfolio.
- Attributes must be added to the portfolio's Attribute selection before they can be featured. See Portfolio Settings & Attribute Selection.
Set the product label attributes
The product label attributes determine the product names displayed throughout Digital Showroom — in the product gallery cards, the product details page header, and PDF exports.
- In Digital Showroom, go to Admin > Portfolios, then click the portfolio you want to configure.
- In the left sidebar, click on Product details.
- Under Product label attribute, open the search dropdown and select the attribute that should be used as the product name.
- The dropdown groups attributes by their Akeneo PIM Attribute Group. The System group appears first, followed by other groups in alphabetical order.
- Do the same with the Product model label attribute. The selected attribute appears in the product gallery when in Grouped view, and on the product model details page when clicking the “x variants” button.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Choose a text attribute that is consistently filled in across your products, such as "Product Name" or "Title". If a product does not have a value for the selected attribute, the product's SKU identifier is used as a fallback.
Configure the Variant Display Mode
The variant display mode controls how end users switch between variants on the product details page. Choose the layout that best fits the number of variation axes in your catalog.
- Navigate to Admin > Portfolios and select your portfolio.
- Click Product Details in the left sidebar.
- Open the Variant display mode dropdown.
- Select one of the following options:
- Dropdown: Variants appear in a single compact dropdown list. Best for products with many variants or a single variation axis.
- Buttons: Each variation axis is displayed as a row of clickable buttons, stacked vertically. Best for a small number of variation axes with few values each, such as color or size.
- Horizontal dropdowns: Each variation axis gets its own dropdown, arranged side by side. Best for products with multiple axes of variation.
- Click Save.

Configure featured attributes
Featured attributes are shown prominently at the top of the Digital Showroom product details page, before the full attribute list. They give end users immediate access to the most important product information without scrolling.
- In Digital Showroom, go to Admin > Portfolios and click on the portfolio you want to configure.
- In the left sidebar, click on Product details.
- Scroll down to the Featured attributes section.
- The panel is split into two columns:
- Available Attributes on the left shows all attributes available to add.
- Selected Attributes on the right shows the currently featured attributes.
- Use the search bar to find a specific attribute by name.
- Check the box next to an attribute in the Available Attributes column to add it as a featured attribute. You can select up to 5 featured attributes.
- To remove a featured attribute, uncheck the box next to it, or uncheck it directly in the Selected Attributes column.
- To reorder featured attributes, drag and drop them using the grip handle in the Selected Attributes column.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Only attributes already added to the portfolio's Attribute selection appear in the Available Attributes column. If an attribute you want to feature is missing, go to Admin > Portfolios > your portfolio > Attribute selection and add it first.
How attribute groups display on the product page
On the Digital Showroom product details page, attributes are organized into collapsible sections that correspond to the Attribute Groups defined in your Akeneo PIM. The Attribute Group names and their display order are inherited directly from your PIM configuration.
End users see three tabs on the product details page:
- Details: Shows the product's attribute values organized by Attribute Group.
- Medias & files: Shows the product's assets (images, videos, documents).
- Associated products: Shows related products linked through Akeneo PIM association types.
The featured attributes you configure above appear at the very top of the Details tab, before the Attribute Group sections.
