Upgrade Installed Package
Our app will be continuously improved with new functionality, bug fixes, and enhancements, but most Salesforce packages do not automatically push these updates to your organization.
It’s important to upgrade your Akeneo PIM App for Salesforce to ensure you’re making the most out of your solution!
You can update our AppExchange app by :
- Visiting the AppExchange listing
- Clicking the "Get It Now" button
- Following the prompts—just like a fresh installation.
Salesforce AppExchange will detect a currently installed version on your org and will add or update only the new components.
If you encounter any issues during an upgrade please contact our support team.
Upgrade Tips
- We recommend that internal users temporarily stop interacting with the application during the short upgrade window.
- We recommend testing the upgrade in a sandbox before upgrading your production environment.
If you need to downgrade, you would have to uninstall the app and re-install an earlier version.
You would then need to re-configure the app from scratch and re-create any configuration data that is needed for the app to work.
Uninstall the Akeneo PIM App for Salesforce Package
If you need to uninstall the Installed Package, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Salesforce account with administrative privileges.
- Navigate to the Installed Packages page by clicking on the Setup icon in the top navigation bar
- Select “Installed Packages” under the “Platform Tools” section.
- Find the Akeneo PIM App for Salesforce installed package
- Click on the “Uninstall” button.
- Follow the prompts to review the metadata and data to be backed up.
- Click on the “Uninstall” button.
- Wait for the uninstallation process to complete.
