Connector Compatibility
Before proceeding with the installation of the connector, it's essential to verify that the Akeneo Connector for SFCC B2C is compatible with your specific versions of Akeneo PIM and SFCC.
Maintaining compatibility as you transition from one version to another is a key focus for us. Thanks to the flexibility of the Akeneo API, the Akeneo Connector for SFCC B2C is inherently compatible with new versions of Akeneo PIM. Please note that while this compatibility ensures seamless operation, it may not always encompass the very latest features. PIM compatibility
The Akeneo Connector for SFCC was originally built with Akeneo PIM 1.7. It has been maintained eversince, to support the latest versions and features of Akeneo PIM. Please refer to our appstore to know if our connector is compatible with your PIM version.
The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the support and maintenance of the subscribed Akeneo Products are contingent upon the Customer running a version of Akeneo PIM that is officially supported by Akeneo. Any issues or disruptions arising from unsupported versions shall not be covered under Akeneo’s terms of support and maintenance. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with the specified supported versions for continued access to support services.
SFCC compatibility
Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a Cloud solution that self-updates automatically.
The Akeneo module is compatible with modes 22.7, 21.7 and 21.2 of Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
SFRA compliance
This module is a business customization (BC) cartridge, making it compatible with all versions of SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture). It was built in "Script" mode and doesn't have any storefront feature, it is therefore compliant with the new StoreFront Reference Architecture of Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Involving the right team
Getting the assistance of Akeneo Professional services and an integrator who knows SFCC, Akeneo, and the integration are key success factors for the implementation. Contact your CSM for more information.
Configure your Akeneo PIM
- Set your API user credentials. Create an API user who has full permission to view, edit, and manage products
- Create currencies enabled in Akeneo that match with SFCC currencies
- Prepare your dataset: translate your families, attributes, and attribute options labels for all the languages available in SFCC

Configure your Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Set up at least one activated site to associate a job to the site scope
(Administration > Sites : Manager sites) - Set up at least one master catalog to store the details of all the products
(Merchant Tools > Products and Catalogs : Catalogs) - Set up at least one storefront catalog you want to associate to your current site
(Merchant Tools > Products and Catalogs : Catalogs)
By configuring these key elements, you will pave the way for a smooth and efficient integration of Akeneo Connector for SFCC B2C Commerce with your Akeneo PIM, allowing for the seamless exchange of product information and data between the two systems.
