Introduction

This documentation provides step-by-step instructions for adding and configuring Akeneo Lightning Web Components (LWC) in the Lightning Page App Builder within Salesforce. These components are designed to enhance the user experience by seamlessly integrating Akeneo data into the standard Salesforce interface.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding with the configuration of Akeneo components, ensure the following:

• You have the necessary permissions to access the Lightning Page App Builder.
• Akeneo Connector is properly set up, and data mappings, including translations, are configured in Salesforce.

Product Media Component

The Akeneo Media Gallery LWC showcases asset media associated with Product records. Ensure correct configuration of the Akeneo Connector to map media links with publicly stored images.

Adding the Media Gallery LWC

1. Open the Salesforce Lightning App Builder.
2. Navigate to the desired Lightning Record Page (e.g., Product2 Record Page).
3. Click "Edit Page" to enter the Lightning Page App Builder.
4. In the left-hand components panel, find the "Custom " section.
5. Locate the Akeneo Product Media Gallery component and drag it onto the desired section of your page layout.

Configuring the Media Gallery LWC

1. Select the Akeneo Media Gallery component on the page.
2. In the right-hand properties panel, configure the "Asset Type" parameter.
3. Click "Save" to save changes.
4. Click "Activate" to make changes live.

Product Details Component

The Akeneo Product Detail LWC retrieves and displays localized attribute values based on the selected locale. It also considers translated attribute data stored in Salesforce for localized display.

Adding the Product Detail LWC

1. Open the Salesforce Lightning App Builder.
2. Navigate to the desired Lightning Record Page (e.g., Product2 Record Page).
3. Click "Edit Page" to enter the Lightning Page App Builder.
4. In the left-hand components panel, find the "Custom " section.
5. Locate the Akeneo Product Detail component and drag it onto the desired section of your page layout.

Configuring the Product Detail LWC

1. Drag and drop the Akeneo Product Detail component onto the page.
2. Click "Save" to save changes.
3. Click "Activate" to make changes live.

Product Variants List Component

The Akeneo Product Variants List LWC retrieves and displays variation axes information based on the data transferred to Salesforce.

Adding the Product Variants List LWC

1. Open the Salesforce Lightning App Builder.
2. Navigate to the desired Lightning Record Page (e.g., Product2 Record Page).
3. Click "Edit Page" to enter the Lightning Page App Builder.
4. In the left-hand components panel, find the "Custom " section.
5. Locate the Akeneo Product Variants List component and drag it onto the desired section of your page layout.
