Akeneo Trust Certificate

Summary

Ensuring Trust in Our Certificate

Akeneo PIM SaaS solutions uses industry standard TLS certificates to secure user connection and data in transit, using HTTPS protocol.

The TLS certificates is managed by our Cloud Provider. They have 90 days validity lifetime and will be renewed every 60 days. This follow an industry shift to shorter lifetime certificate.

As consequence, if a product that connects in HTTPS to Akeneo PIM was verifying the TLS certificate itself, or a former certificate authority in a fixed way, connection will be in error following this change.

The way to verify the validity of a certificate is described in X.509 standard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certification_path_validation_algorithm: all the certificate chain must be validated until reaching a certificate root that is trusted.

The certificates for Akeneo PIM are signed by a Google Certificate Authority, validated by a Google Trust Services Root Certificate.

We recommend trusting the Google intermediate GTS CA (valid until 2027-09-30) and the Google Root R1 Certificate (valid until 2036-06-22).
