A Supplier Organization represents an external company whose users submit and enrich product data through a Supplier Portal. Create Supplier Organizations in Akeneo PIM and assign each organization to the portal its users must access.
This feature is in early access. Reach out to your Akeneo contact if you're interested in trying it out.
Before you start
- Your role must include the Manage supplier organizations permission.
- Create at least one Supplier Portal before creating a Supplier Organization.
- Identify the default Channel and Locale suppliers use when they enrich products.
Create a Supplier Organization
To create a Supplier Organization in Akeneo PIM:
- Go to System > External access > Supplier Organizations.
- Click Create.
- Enter the Supplier Organization Name.
- Select the required Supplier Portal access. Every user in the Supplier Organization signs in through this Supplier Portal.
- Select the required Default channel.
- Select the required Default locale. The available Locales depend on the selected Channel.

Update a Supplier Organization
To update a Supplier Organization in Akeneo PIM, go to System > External access > Supplier Organizations and open the organization. The General tab lets you change its Name, assigned Supplier Portal, default Channel, default Locale, and two-factor authentication setting.
Use Avatar > Upload to add an optional image for the Supplier Organization. Click Save after changing the organization.
Require MFA for a Supplier Organization
To require multi-factor authentication (MFA) for every external user in one Supplier Organization, open its General tab and set Require two-factor authentication (MFA) to Enabled. Click Save to apply the requirement.
Each supplier in the organization must then set up an authenticator app and enter a one-time code during sign-in.
Find a Supplier Organization
The Supplier Organizations page lists each organization's Name and number of Users. Use the search field to find an organization by name, then select its row to open its settings.

The Supplier Organizations list provides a search field and displays each organization's Name, avatar, and Users count.
Delete a Supplier Organization
To delete a Supplier Organization in Akeneo PIM, open it, select Other actions, and click Delete. Confirm the deletion to remove the organization.
Deleting a Supplier Organization also deletes its associated external users. This action cannot be undone.
