Assign one or more Supplier Data Manager (SDM) workflows to a Supplier Portal and define how far suppliers can progress in each workflow. Suppliers choose a workflow before uploading when the portal exposes more than one option.

Before you start
- Your role must include the Manage supplier organizations permission.
- Create and configure the required workflows in Supplier Data Manager (SDM).
- Create the Supplier Portal in Akeneo PIM.
Assign an SDM workflow to a Supplier Portal
To connect a Supplier Portal to an SDM workflow:
- In Akeneo PIM, go to System > External access > Supplier Portals.
- Open the Supplier Portal.
- Open the General tab.
- Under Assigned SDM Workflows, select an SDM Workflow.
- Select the Last accessible step suppliers can complete.
- Click Add to assign another SDM workflow when needed.
- Click Save.
Select File upload, no workflow steps as the Last accessible step when suppliers only need to submit a file. For any other selection, suppliers can access the SDM workflow until they reach the selected step.
The Assigned SDM Workflows section pairs each SDM Workflow with its Last accessible step and provides an Add button for another workflow.
Supplier workflow selection
When a Supplier Portal has one assigned SDM workflow, the upload page opens that workflow automatically. When a Supplier Portal has multiple assigned SDM workflows, suppliers first see Upload your products and then choose the workflow that fits their submission.
The submission guidelines, accepted media configuration, workflow title and description shown on the Supplier Portal are configured in SDM.
Suppliers select the workflow that fits their submission when the Supplier Portal has multiple linked workflows.
